In this trip, the itinerary has been designed to provide a deeper understanding of the culture, gastronomy and visit many UNESCO World Heritage Cities as Toledo, Salamanca, Santiago de Compostela, Porto and Lisbon.

Day 01: Madrid

Welcome to Madrid, the capital of Spain, where tapas isn’t just a type of dining experience but a lifestyle. The city’s buzz, historical architecture and good climate will make this an unforgettable place. Upon arrival in Madrid, you will be given a short panoramic city tour on the way to the hotel, followed by some time to freshen up before a welcome dinner.

Day 02: Madrid

Breakfast at the hotel. Today enjoy a guided city tour on foot of this vibrant city – they will experience the capital’s rich history, from the Plaza Mayor to the Royal Palace and Gran Via. For lunch you will have a tapas tasting at one of Madrid’s most famous gourmet markets. It will be an informal but fun lunch, where you will taste the world known Spanish tapas.

Day 03: Madrid

Breakfast at the hotel. Today they will visit a UNESCO World Heritage city of Toledo, which is famous for having been a safe haven for Jews, Christians and Muslims. They will enjoy a walking tour of the old city, including some of the most emblematic sites such as the Alcazar, Cathedral, the masterpiece of El Greco the Synagogue La Blanca. The mix of cultures is palpable in this town, giving it a special feel. Lunch will be at a restaurant that is recognized as one of the best traditional restaurants in Toledo.

Day 04: Madrid - Salamanca

Breakfast at the hotel. Today you will travel to Salamanca, one of Spain’s most beautiful medieval cities, with the oldest university, located 200 km north-west. On the way, you will stop and have a taste of the region’s wine as well as some tapas. Because this area of Spain is known for its production of “jamón” (now becoming a world famous delicacy) they will be given the opportunity to taste Spanish ham along with the wine. We will also visit a winery in the famous region of Rueda, famous for the Verdejo grape. In this visit, we will see how they grow the grapes, prune the vine and produce the wine, following the high standards of the DOC. At the end of the day, you will have a lively informal dinner in Salamanca.

Day 05: Salamanca - Santiago de Compostela

Breakfast at the hotel. Today you will head from Salamanca to Santiago, a stunning medieval city in the northwest of Spain. It is famous for being the homeland of St. James, an important apostle, as well as the Camino de Santiago which is a pilgrimage people come from all over the world to experience. Santiago de Compostela is also known for its delicious food and white wine and is surprisingly green and misty. On the way from Salamanca to Santiago you will stop to have what Conde Nast considers to be the best steak restaurant in the world, where the cows are raised there and the meat is matured to perfection. This restaurant used to be a winery, but the owner decided to convert it into a restaurant, so we will be having one of the best steaks in the world in a cellar.

Day 06: Santiago de Compostela - Porto

Breakfast at the hotel. They will enjoy a walking tour of Santiago, exploring the old part of the city that transports you to another time. They will see the world-famous cathedral, Plaza del Obradoiro, the Alameda park, as well as all of this city’s enchanting small streets with shops. After visiting the main attractions, they will head to the city’s main market that has been there for centuries to have lunch – they will taste this part of Spain’s best tapas, including Pulpo a Feira (Galicia’s famous octopus with paprika). After lunch, they will travel to Oporto, crossing the Rias Baixas (Spain’s best white wine region) to have a taste of Galician wine in a winery, getting to know about how it is produced by an expert.

Day 07: Porto

Breakfast at the hotel. Porto is a surprising city whose river is filled with majestic ships and gondolas, has delicious Port wine, and stylish Portuguese architecture. They will have a city tour exploring the historical sites and getting to know Portuguese culture. After their tour, they will head to one of Porto’s most exquisite and well-designed wineries to have a port wine tasting and lunch. There is a big variety of Port Wine, so in this winery, we will get to know about the different types and way of production and qualities. This is the perfect chance to understand about port wine and enjoy a tasting.

Day 08: Porto - Lisbon

Breakfast at the hotel. From Porto to Lisbon you will explore Portugal’s beautiful coastline stopping in Cascais for lunch. With ocean views and a salty breeze, this is an ideal place to relax over a glass of wine and good food. Upon arrival in Lisbon you will have time to rest and freshen up before heading to dinner and a Fado show in Lisbon.

Day 09: Lisbon

Breakfast at the hotel. Lisbon has become one of Europe’s coolest cities attributed to its great weather, friendly locals and great overall vibe. Close to the sea, it has a strong maritime influence as well as beautifully tiled buildings. Today you will have a walking tour around Lisbon visiting its historical Alfama district, the Avenida de Liberdade, tasting the pastéis de Belem, and heading into the trendy Chiado neighbourhood. In the evening they will have a farewell dinner in one of Lisbon’s most celebrated restaurants.

Day 10: Lisbon

Breakfast at the hotel. They will be given a transfer to the airport to catch their flight! ¡Hasta la proxima!
